Elsie is a 13 year old cornet player from Cornwall and she started playing at the age of 7 in Launceston town band where she progressed and became principal a few years later. After 5 years with them she joined Bodmin Town Band, a first section band in the heart of Cornwall, and moved up to front row where she is currently.
She is also the principal cornet for Cornwall Youth Band and she plays front row in St Austell Youth Band who became the first winners of the newly emerged challenge section at the Youth Championships held in March.After following her audition for the National Children’s Brass Band last October, she will be attending her first course with them this summer.Elsie plays on the MB4-JS and she finds it the most comfortable mouthpiece she has tried.
