Musical profile
Freelance musician in and around Luxembourg.
Currently regular performances with the Orchestre de Chambre du
Luxembourg, Orchestre National de Jazz du Luxembourg and several
other chamber music formations in the past, for example the
Kammerphilharmonie Europa or the Gilles Grethen Big Band.
These collaborations allowed me to play in concert halls like the
Luxembourg Philharmonic hall, the Paris Philharmonic hall, the Berlin
Philharmonic hall, the Cologne Philharmonic hall and many more.
Past performances also include concerts as stage musician with the
Gürzenich Orchester Köln and the Luxembourg Philharmonic
Orchestra.
During my studies I also have been member of the Orchestre National
des Jeunes du Luxembourg (ONJ) and the Junge deutsch-französischungarische Philharmonie.
Orher activities also include CD (and other) recordings, for example for a
part of the music of "Nina et le secret du Hérisson", a luxembourgish
animated film production.

Start of my studies on the trombone at about 8 years old
Other activities
Besides teaching and actively performing I spend a lot of time with
arranging pieces, mainly for Wind Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra.
First solo appearance in my young teenage years with my local wind
orchestra where I was playing back then (Youth Orchestra - Harmonie
de Soleuvre).
2009 - With the same band, we won the first prize at the Euro Festival
for Youth Orchestras in Maasgouw (Netherlands).
2017 - Selected by the Conservatoire Esch-sur-Alzette to play as a
soloist with the Luxembourg Military Band, in occasion of the "Gala des
lauréats". For this concert I played the Grøndahl Concerto, a piece
which has a great importance for me to this day.
2018 - I got awarded the "Rotary Prix de la Musique" for outstanding
results at the Conservatoire Esch-sur-Alzette.
Other prices include 2 gold medals at the "Concours pour Jeunes
Solistes" in Luxembourg in the categories tenor trombone and chamber
music.
