Ben Fearnley

Ben is currently a first-year student at the Royal Northern College of Music, where he studies cornet under Richard Marshall. He currently plays solo cornet with the Black Dyke Band, but often helps the band out on soprano cornet, and has played with bands like hammonds, grimethorpe and leyland.

Some of his highlights include competing in the Swedish nationals on Principal Cornet and his earning best soprano at the National Brass Championships with Tewit two years in a row.

Ben is also a member of the National Youth Band of Great Britain, where he has held the principal soprano seat for his last two courses and was Principal cornet of the Yorkshire Youth Band, tutored under members of the Black Dyke Band.

He has also recently been invited to play with the European Youth
Band in Lithuania this year on soprano cornet.
