Aidan is a cornet player from Bath and started playing at the age of 6 in the Midsomer Norton and Radstock Training band. He quickly moved up the ranks into the Senior Band and continued that progression onto Solo Cornet by the age of 12 and enjoyed an 8-year stint with the band. He auditioned for the National Children’s Band of Great Britain and gained a seat in 2019, Aidan had two courses as a member then one as a mentor. Aidan went onto attend his first National Youth Brass Band course in 2021 and still enjoys the experiences to the fullest. He currently plays solo cornet for the City of Bristol Brass Band and has performed in many concerts with them, he has also enjoyed success at contests like Wychavon entertainment contest, Welsh open and the Regional contest with Filton Concert Brass on solo cornet. Aidan has recently started to play on a Mercer & Barker MB3B-C mouthpiece and says it is the best mouthpiece he has played due to the comfortability and the clarity in note production and believes they are the best mouthpieces available.
